Gender equality and equity

YWCA strives for gender equality and gender equity and challenges harmful gender norms and power relationships to promote positive masculinities using MenEngage approach and Boys4Change approach. YWCA also promotes women’s rights through the dissemination of women’s rights as stipulated in Rwandan laws and policies as well as the protocol to the African Charter on Human and Peoples’ Rights on the Rights of Women in Africa commonly known as Maputo protocol.
