Welcome to the inaugural issue of the SEWAE Project Impact Newsletter, where we celebrate the stories of transformation, empowerment, and progress fostered by the “Socio-Economic Empowerment of Women through Access to Energy” initiative. This 12-month journey in Rwanda’s Muhanga District has been a testament to the incredible potential of women and girls when equipped with the right tools, skills, and opportunities.
Through innovative programs such as modern cooking stoves, gender equality training, and horticultural skills development, SEWAE has uplifted communities, reduced the burden of unpaid care work, and empowered participants to take control of their futures. Each story within these pages showcases the resilience, creativity, and determination of women and girls who are not only changing their lives but also contributing to sustainable development.
